Harry, I have just now sent the transmitter to your address. Trying to connect with another pc also failed. I wonder what you will find! Kind regards and 73 Pierre

John thanks for trying to help me on the matter, but nothing helps. I always use the unit with just a battery connected and only to change the frequency band I connect to the PC. My standard available com port is com 4. When I connect the Zach Tek unit com 3 appears in the control panel and it disappears when I disconnect the unit. The program also indicates that there is a connection but the program stays out graded. I have decided to send the unit to Harry for examination. Anyway, thanks for thinking with me to solve the problem

Thanks for answering to solve my problem. A few more indications of the problem. If I connect the transmitter with 5 Volt the transmission starts without a program running. The tx led lights up continually. Sometime it transmits and then it stops for a few seconds. This is all without connected to the PC. If I connect the transmitter to the PC and start the program there is connection with serial port (com 3). It is also indicated in the program. The program is visible but graded out. It may be that the internal operating software fails. I bought 2 transmitters, one for myself and one for my radio friend (PAØPZ). But he is 84 years old thus not really a help to assist me with my problem. His transmitter is working fine. If a simple solution is not possible it might be better that I send the unit to you Harry for repair. It maybe costly but my last coat has no pockets and I like would like to have a working WSPR unit. I hope for a positive answer. Kind regards, Pierre de Wee
