Are there any fairly compact antenna designs -- especially any vertical -- that have worked well with the multi-band WSPR transmitters? I have an EFHW 40-10 wire antenna that I know would work well, but there are some logistical issues currently with leaving it deployed. So was just curious about other options that anyone has had good experience with. As to specific bands, I'd be interested in ideas for any of the bands that the transmitters support. Thanks for any ideas, Frank K6FOD

As a relatively new ham (K6FOD) who is using a couple of Harry's excellent products, I wanted to put a word in here. After spending a lot of time on HF bands (including use of Zachtek's WSPR desktop transmitter), I recently became interested in longwave and have been looking around the 630m and 220m ham bands and other parts of the spectrum. Here in the U.S. we need to register with a power utility industry website before transmitting on these bands to ensure that our location could not cause interference to power transmission operations. I'm currently waiting to hear back, and assuming that all goes well I'll be interested in obtaining a Zachtek WSPR transmitter for 630m and 2200m. At this point I've been able to receive WSPR consistently on 630m with my SDR's, but no luck yet on 2200m. If I go forward with that, I'll need to work out a transmitting antenna for at least 630m and possibly for 2200m that will work on our less-than-huge city lot. If anyone has suggestions for a compact longwave transmitting antenna, I'd be very interested. For listening I'm using a receive-only magnetic loop antenna. The other area I'm interested in that might involve Zachtek products is frequency measurement. Twice a year, the ARRL holds a frequency measuring test where they put out a signal and invite people to measure it as accurately as possible ( http://www.arrl.org/frequency-measuring-test/ ). I'm having a little difficulty pinning down the date(s) for 2019, but may have just missed one. However, they should have another one in the fall. There seem to be a variety of ways that people set up their gear to participate in this event. I'm very interested in seeing if a Zachtek frequency standard and/or calibrator might become part of my approach. If anyone is working in this area and has suggestions, again I'd be very interested.
