Video on the WSPR-TX_LP1 with the Mezzanine LP4 add-on card.

Updated: May 23, 2019

YouTuber Kevin Loughin did a great review of the WSPR-TX-LP1 transmitter with the add-on card Mezaninne LP4. As Kevin is a Linux only guy he could not run the PC/Windows-only configuration software for it so he goes in to some detail on the serial API and how to communicate with the card using just a serial terminal program. After the build he put it on the air on 80, 40, 20 and 10m bands and had some really good results. He even managed to reach Antarctica on the first night. Not bad with 350mW of output power and a longwire antenna on his RV. After his review I had a bunch of people buying the WSPR-TX_LP1 with the add-on card so I manged to sell-out my small inventory. I'm no building some more card to fill up my shop again.

For user that don't want or are able to build a kit there is the WSPR-TX Desktop version that has the same features but comes complete in a box ready to put on the air.

Thanks goes out to Kevin for taking his time doing the build and review. If you are not already subscribed to Kevins YouTube channel I recommend that you check it out.

I always enjoy his down-to-earth and clear explanations. In his back-catalog you will find a lot of interesting stuff that he has covered in the Ham radio hobby over the years and he is continuously putting out new interesting videos.

If you find his Videos entertaining and interesting please consider to help out with a dollar or more each month on his patreon page so he can continue doing videos for us as this is now his full time job.
