How the US Tariffs are handled.
The US tariffs are 15% on goods from EU and as ZachTek is based in Sweden it affects my business with US customers.
The US customs have chosen to handle the payment of tariffs differently if the goods are handled by the post or by a carrier.
Goods coming in on the postal system must have prepaid Tariffs while gods coming in with DHL don't have to have prepaid Tariffs.
DHL will instead collect it from the buyer when the package arrive in the US.
What this means for you is that you will pay 15% directly on the price and and if you picked postal shipment you are good to go and the package will get straight to you and there will be no extra fees or handling.
The Tariff fee is shown in your cart before you check out, it is the line called "Postal Delivered Duties Paid"
If you use DHL as shipping option - the 15% Tariff I collect will be refunded at the time of shipment
You will then be contacted DHL and asked to pay the Tariffs before they deliver the package.
